What is Hypnosis

What’s hypnosis?

Hypnosis is another word for trance state, and trance state is the state where your subconscious and conscious mind talk to each other. In this state you’re in the best position to be open to suggestions. These suggestions could help you over limiting beliefs and help you with your negative feelings about yourself.

When do I know I’m in trance?

Trance is similar to daydream, and you will experience trance naturally many times a day. For example, have you ever daydreamed while driving and forgotten the last 20 minutes of your drive and where you passed? At that time you were in a trance state.

Is hypnosis or trance safe?

Yes, 100 percent safe. As I said, you go into and out of trance many times a day and we’re still in good health, aren’t we?

Unsafe stories you’ve heard?

There are street hypnosis acts that give therapeutic hypnosis a bad name, but that’s purely entertainment and people consent to being taken for a fool. What if a hypnotherapist overreached or said things out of context? In that case your natural fight, flight or freeze response would kick in and you’d instantly wake up. That is why therapeutic hypnosis is one of the safest practices. The same thing happens if you’re in danger and a fire alarm goes off or your baby cries, you snap out of trance immediately.

More on safety

Rest assured you’re in very good hands. I have years of experience, I’m skilled and highly qualified, and I keep up with ongoing training to improve my hypnotherapy skills. All I ask is that you get into a relaxed, undisturbed position away from heavy machinery, driving or any other dangerous situation. If something did go wrong, for example a medical emergency, we can notify your next of kin and wake you up instantly if needed. Your well-being always comes first.
